Graham Vanassche – Managing Director – Leslies Group

Graham, now 47 years of age, joined the family company at 16 when he started off in the bodyshop and then moved to the workshop at Northwood Garage.  By the time he was 18 he was selling cars and, until 1989, he was the only salesman.  In 1989 Graham took on responsibility for the franchises and oversaw the operations of the newly-appointed sales team.  He officially became Managing Director of Leslies Group in 2000.

Whilst Graham has overall responsibility for the running of the whole group, his heart is still in car sales.  Graham said “I love selling cars, it has been my whole life and I still get a buzz from doing a deal”.  He continued “We presently have a customer base of around 10,000 and the relationship that we have developed with them sees many coming back to deal with us time after time.  We like to feel that we know and understand our customers well and provide the level of service that encourages them to deal with us on an ongoing basis.  Without this high degree of customer confidence and loyalty we would never have been able to develop Leslies Group to what it is today – the largest Motor Group on the Isle of Wight”
